Seller Spotlight: Q&A with Retro Toy and Accessories Seller Patricia Lardy

Patricia Lardy, founder of Tricia’s Temptations Company, has been selling online for over a decade. Her family business is known for selling retro toys, feather accessories and a line of natural jewelry. One day she received an email from Amazon asking her to sell on the platform and Patricia decided to take them up on their offer.

Once her Amazon store was up and running, Patricia saw an ad for Payability in her dashboard and quickly clicked on it to learn more. After researching it further, Patricia decided to give daily payments a try. Once she did, she began to see significant growth and knew it was the right choice for her business.

What does your typical day look like?

I wake up at 7 a.m. and I go through emails and pull all the orders. Next Ana, my Warehouse Manager, pulls all the orders and starts steaming the feathers to get them ready to ship. Once they are nice and full we pack them up and ship them. We sell feather boas, pedal cars and retro tricycles.

What’s your favorite part of the selling process?

I love it when I get emails saying it’s just what they wanted!

What advice do you have for sellers looking to grow their business?

Payability works great. 30 seconds each day and you’re done. The money is there that afternoon. No Waiting!

How do you put your Payability money to work?

We are constantly buying more inventory.

What’s your next big goal as a seller?

We want to sell more and more products. Then we can hire more people.

How have you prepared for 2018 and Q1?

We prepared by counting inventory and trying to keep a handle of what we have in stock at all times.

What’s the biggest challenge of being an Amazon seller?

We have people that buy items that need to be put together. We have directions in the box, but sometimes it’s difficult to read or follow them. Sometimes English isn’t their first language and that makes it hard especially when we are trying to guide them over the phone.

What’s the biggest benefit of being an Amazon seller?

The customers are endless!

Do you sell on other marketplaces?

Yes, we sell on Etsy, eBay and have Shopify stores.

Daily Amazon payments have made a world of a difference for Patricia and her family business. With faster payments, she’s able to reinvest in more inventory and spend less time managing cash flow.
